And then, finally, it was spring.

Let's not talk about winter now, about how long and dark and full of snow it was. Instead, let's look out the window - or even better, walk outside. Into the sounds of water trickling everywhere and birds exploding with enthusiasm, into the sights of bare ground and ponds and butterflies and the first spring flowers. Into the smell of warm earth and tender winds. Let's take a layer or two of clothes off, and spend the whole day outside, until our faces are dirty and our hair is messy. Let's stay with the sun until it sets and soak in the fact that it is spring.
