A mother of four, photographer, nature lover. Someone trying to make sense of it all, through photos and stories.

I try to be free in all senses of the word, so I made the leap and now work with what I love doing; taking pictures, storing this life in moments, both for myself and for clients. My heart is in photographing birth and motherhood, but I take on just about any photography job.

I live on a farm in Norway with my man Nik and my children Ronja, Freja, Falk and Ulv, plus a bunch of animals. We grow our own food as far as the seasons allow it, we don't go to kindergarten, the three youngest ones will be homeschooled.

We govern our own lives, we strive for independence, we want to be in this life wild and free and full of love.

Recipe: Ice cream

Me and my girls spent the morning especially well the other day: While little Falk had his nap, we made ice cream!

We are no food connoisseurs, we like normal, healthy food made from scratch, we like it simple. Thus the ice cream was based on an easy recipe which we improvised a little over. With great success, we must say: It was yummy!

The basic ice cream recipe was

8 eggyolks + 150 g sugar whisked properly together, mixed with 5 dl of whipped cream (plus vanilla). We swapped the white sugar with 100 g brown sugar plus a splash of maple syrup, which added a delicious nutty and caramely taste to it.

Then we added chopped up chocolate chip cookies and berries of the forest, threw it in the freezer, and a few hours later:

Ready to indulge!

We're planning on doing it again this weekend, this time mixing in the spruce syrup we made in spring. The yummy possibilities are endless!
